NASB is a private, nonprofit organization that provides programs, services and advocacy to strengthen public education for all Nebraskans since 1918. We provide consultation, board development and training, as well as district support service programs for our 260 member school districts and educational service units across Nebraska. The programs are managed by a professional staff, and governance oversight is carried out by a statewide Board of Directors consisting of local school board members from across the state, elected by you as peer board members.
To find out more about NASB, visit the About Us section.
NASB’s Board Leadership Team provides resources and in-person learning opportunities to support boards and district/ESU leaders in the advancement of instruction and student learning, long-term planning for success, system and leadership accountability, building public will, and learning together as a TEAM!
NASB offers extensive learning opportunities and networking for board members, superintendents, ESU administrators, and district/ESU administrative assistants. These activities enhance local board governance and district leadership through workshops, meetings, conferences, and networking.
NASB has a number of offerings for our members, including advocacy, consultation, board development and training, as well as a wide variety of district support-service programs. The programs are managed by a professional staff, and governance oversight is carried out by the NASB Board of Directors.
